I was born and grew up in the small towns of Northamptonshire. I was diagnosed with hearing loss as a very young child. When I was a little girl, I always loved art, and was obsessed by my books on children’s art. I was really interested in nature started with Japanese Art and bird art project when I did GCSE Art. I have discovered that two of my ancestors from my mother’s side have a creative skill. My great grandmother sold her handmade owl calendars to Harrods or Selfridges; it would seem that I am following in her footstep of crafting. My grandfather’s passion and hobby was photography, and likewise, I have developed the keen hobby of nature photography, also following his passion. And finally, my mother’s skill of pottery from her school, she used to enjoy it and made it better than me. A hard act to follow.
